On August 24, the middle school community gathered for the 2nd annual PTO-sponsored MS Family Picnic. The goal of the MS Family Picnic is to bring parents, students, teachers, and staff together for an evening of good food, fun games, and relationship-building. While parents and teachers chatted and got to know one another better, the students (and some adults) played volleyball and basketball in the gym and soccer on the field. Several students also took advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the playground equipment.  

After working up an appetite, everyone filled up on tasty hotdogs and hamburgers cooked on the grill. The evening flew by, and suddenly the setting sun signaled that it was time to head home. YISS is more than just a school; it is truly a special community. The middle school looks forward to continuing the MS Family Picnic tradition!
