YISS loves to see students excel both inside and outside of the classroom. This summer, 7th grader Adrienne A. participated in 19 golf tournaments organized by the North Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation. Founded in 1983, the North Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation has a membership of approximately 4,000 junior golfers from ages 7 to 19 and organizes over 450 tournaments annually. Former North Texas PGA Junior alumni include Justin Leonard, 1997 Open Champion, and Jordan Spieth, a three-time major champion.  

Adrienne ended her summer golf season with 15 first place finishes in golf tournaments including the Lantana Cup, the Old American Cup, and the All American Summer Showdown Championships. In the All American Summer Showdown, she shot 77 (+5) and 76 (+4) with an overall two-day score of 153 (+9) to win the championship.
