GOES Team Assists Childlife Ministry in Thailand

On Saturday, March 30, a group of 28 high school students and five teachers traveled to Maesai, Thailand to serve the children and staff at Childlife Ministry and Community Foundation through the Guardians Outreach Education & Service (GOES) program. Childlife is an orphanage that is home to about 80 children in the northernmost part of Thailand.

For seven days, the team from YISS worked to paint murals for new school classrooms at the facility, participated in an annual Sports Day event, helped demolish a storage closet to make space for new bathrooms, weeded rice plants in nearby rice patties, and spent time playing and building relationships with the children that live at Childlife. The YISS team truly enjoyed the time spent at Childlife, and they look forward to seeing how God continues to work in the hearts of the children and staff there.
