MS Drama Performs “The Grinch” for ES Audience
To bring in the Christmas cheer for elementary students this season, Ms. Shields’ 7th grade drama class put on a production of “The Grinch,” under the student-direction of Seunghun L. Beginning with the modification of a script based on Dr. Seuss’s classic children’s book, the students took on various roles, both on-stage and behind the scenes, creating the props and backdrop, choosing costumes, and practicing blocking.
For the past several weeks, they have contributed their time and talents during drama class and homeroom to iron out the details and prepare for their 3rd grade audience. On December 6 and 8, they performed in the MPR2 and library, taking students’ questions afterward about the production and their experiences as 7th grade students. The cast wished their audience a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and thanked them for their participation.
