Soloists Give Stellar Performances for KIMEA

YISS middle and high school students had the opportunity to participate in the Korea International Music Educators Association (KIMEA) Virtual Solo Festival. This annual KIMEA event enables music students to perform for professional music educator judges who critique and assign a rating from Merit to Platinum. The Platinum rating is reserved for the stellar performances of the event.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, student's solo performances were judged virtually by highly qualified musicians and instructors. Our YISS students did an exemplary job representing themselves and our school.

We are so very proud of each participant. It takes weeks and months to prepare for this type of event and our students not only played well, but they also showed determination, dedication, and strength to complete this challenge while school was closed due to COVID-19. Well done musicians!
