Spring Swim Invitational Focuses on Personal Improvement

On Saturday, May 18, YISS Aquatics hosted the 9th Annual Spring Invitational, an all-ages swim competition. This meet saw a record number of 350 swimmers from seven international schools (Chadwick, Dulwich, KIS, Osan, SFS, SIS, and YISS) compete to achieve their personal best times.

Since swimming is a sport that values personal improvement, swimmers who broke or set a new personal best time for their events were given a personal best ticket. These tickets could then be cashed in at a prize table during the meet. The Aquatics department is proud of all students who competed, set new records, and the many who were even experiencing their first swim meet!

Swim meets of this size and scale require many hours of planning and hard work. Thank you so much to all the volunteers who put in the time and effort to make this event successful. All YISS swimmers are encouraged to keep swimming and stay active over the summer as there are many more competitions to come next school year!
