7th Grade Students Present Science in Motion

In the second quarter, seventh grade science students had the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of potential and kinetic energy by building marble roller coasters. Not only did the students build their own uniquely-themed coasters, but they also filmed the entire process explaining various scientific concepts along the way. 

After weeks of building, students finally had a day to show off their incredible work to parents and students alike. During the last week of quarter two, they set up a roller coaster fair spanning two days in the main lobby of the school. Elementary students had a chance to see science in motion while parents were invited to witness in real-time the outcome of students' learning. The fair was a great success and we can’t wait to see more science come alive in the seventh grade!
