MS Table Tennis Team Has a Strong Season

Despite being a new team that only began last school year, this fall, 50 middle school students tried out for 20 spots on the Table Tennis team. Practices began on October 14, and students met and practiced twice a week. 

The Middle School Table Tennis team participated in three jamborees this fall at CDS, SFS, and SIS, improving their skills with each competition. The team consisted of 10 boys, Yongjun C., Aiden H. Theo K., Aden L., Joshua L., Ryan L., Ryan P., Mike M., Aiden R., Justin S., and 10 girls, Ava C. Audrey H., Sooji I., Elaine J., Trinity K., Jiyu L., Kayla Y., Kayla C., Shiloh R., Jane L.

The inaugural KAIAC Middle School Table Tennis Tournament was hosted at YISS on November 30. The boys' doubles team Joshua L. and Theo K. placed 2nd overall in the tournament; Ava C. and Kayla C. placed 2nd overall in girls’ doubles; and Jiyu L. and Audrey H. placed 3rd overall in girls’ doubles, earning all of them “All-KAIAC” distinction.  

Coaches Christian Davis and Faith Cole were pleased with each player’s hard work and improvement during the season.
